Scrathcy The Endangered Desert Tortoise

So today I got a phone call from my mom while I was at Steven's house. The short version is that there was a tortoise walking in the street, she didn't want it to die, some lady stopped and picked it up and put in the wash. It was trying to get back to the street, she called Game and Fish, then me, to come home and help her look for it so we could save it. I get home, she is walking out side to where the park is to look for it, I stop and help, some lady stops and helps, she finds it. We figure out that we can't feed it anything that we have in the house, so we put it in a box with some water and wait for Kristen to drop off a dress she borrowed, so we can take Scratchy (I named him this cause he liked scratching the box he was in) to Game and Fish since this little guy is endangered.

Bill and Ghea, the owners of The Lords of Art Town, gave the members little cameras that can also take 20 seconds of video. They eventually want everyone to take video and then they are gonna put it all together. These are some of the pics that Steven took of me.

p.s. those are really cool boots that I got from GoodWill. They are pretty much these boots, but in black leather and not patent.

The space used to be a recording studio in the historic Garfield Galleria, and the new residents have elected to keep many of the studio's unusual features: a glass divider, a bamboo-lined sound booth, and an entire room lined in egg-crate and felt padding. The result is an eclectic space ideal for exhibiting edgy, controversial works. It's also perfect for the Lords' other passion — performance art. They can run video clips, host bands, and blast sound bites in the soundproofed spaces, and the neighbors won't hear a thing.

I still can't get over how nice Bruce Campbell was. He told me that my name sounded like my parents wanted a boy, and when they got a girl, they said "Shawn-a". We drove for 2 hours and then because the whole thing was so unorganized, waited for 3. But it was so worth it. I wish we would have brought Steven's Army of Darkness action figure to be signed. We did get his book "How to make love* *the Bruce Campbell way" signed to Steven and "If Chins could kill, confessions of a B movie actor" signed to me. :D

The 14th was me and Steven's one year anniversary. He got me a Ghost World comic book and a lot of chocolate pocky!

If you have known me a while, then you have seen my hair the first three colors, and I have never dyed it black, but I figure I could try something new. I wish I could dye it odd colors, but I can't cause I have a job. I am dyeing my hair as a reward for when I have not smoked for a week.

I got my license today! All I had to do was go to MVD and have them take my picture and print me out a license. Woo hooo

Driving

So I am learning to drive :D and doing pretty damn well at it too. Yesterday I drove on the freeway for the first time, and today I learned to parallel park. Tomorrow I should get my license, I think. It is very hard to understand the guy that is teaching me because he is middle-eastern and has only been in the US for 10 months :\

But at least I will be able to drive, and then I will get my grandparent's car!
